Programme Overview

Africa’s fastest-growing companies are not held back by lack of ideas — they are held back by a shortage of skilled people who can translate vision into executed product. Product managers and project managers sit at the intersection of technology, business, and people — and their impact is felt across every team they touch.

This 12-week professional programme gives you a rigorous, practical grounding in both disciplines: the product thinking to shape what gets built, and the project management discipline to ensure it gets delivered. Rooted in African startup and enterprise contexts, the programme prepares you to lead digital products and programmes in any sector or organisation size.

What You Will Study

MODULE 01
Product Thinking & Discovery
User research, jobs-to-be-done, problem framing, and opportunity mapping. Running discovery sprints, synthesising insights, and writing compelling product briefs.
MODULE 02
Product Strategy & Roadmapping
Vision, goals, and metrics. OKRs, prioritisation frameworks (RICE, Kano, MoSCoW), and building stakeholder-aligned product roadmaps.
MODULE 03
Agile & Scrum in Practice
Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives. Kanban for continuous flow. Scaling Agile across multiple teams.
MODULE 04
Project Management Fundamentals
Scope, time, cost, and quality management. Risk registers, dependency mapping, RAID logs, and project governance. PRINCE2 and PMBoK frameworks.
MODULE 05
Stakeholder Management & Communication
Influencing without authority, managing up, cross-functional collaboration, and executive reporting. Conflict resolution and negotiation in project contexts.
MODULE 06
Digital Product Launch & Metrics
GTM planning, launch execution, KPI frameworks, and post-launch iteration. Product analytics, A/B testing, and building a data-driven product culture.

Who Is This For?

Designed for professionals from any background who manage — or aspire to manage — digital products or technology projects. Ideal for business analysts, software developers moving into management, marketers working with product teams, operations managers, and early-career professionals targeting PM roles. No technical background required.

“I came from a marketing background and always felt locked out of the product conversations at my company. After this programme I was promoted to Associate Product Manager within two months. I now run our mobile app roadmap and work directly with engineering. It completely changed my trajectory.”
— Fatima A., Associate Product Manager — Accra, Ghana
